GEONICA has been granted a financial aid for its Research and Development Project named GEODATAVIEW – Mining and intensive exploitation platform of microdata measurement for surveillance of environmental parameters (IDI-20181014). The Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) manage this financial aid that is co-funded by the European Regional Development Funds.
Currently, in the Environmental Management sector, there are several solutions to solve specific problems oriented to concrete sectors such as meteorology, hydrology, topography, solar energy, etc., which are based on the analysis and monitoring of huge quantities of data, collected by environmental sensors. However, there is no solution capable of capturing, analyzing, storing and transmitting this amount of high-detail information, that it can generate relevance knowledge.
Conscious of the growing need of storage and management of data volumes, and the problem of not finding a resource that allows its transmission and visualization in real time, GEONICA, specializing in environmental monitoring, proposes the development of an innovative Platform Oriented to Mining and Intensive exploitation of micro data captured by different environmental sensors. With this development, it will get an innovative solution that, through new data analysis algorithms, allows the combination of all the information provided by the METEODATA stations.

The project will have an estimated budget of 267,917.00 € and the execution will take place in Madrid between July 16th, 2018 and December 31st, 2019.
