Since 1974 GEONICA designs and manufactures a complete line of Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) with very low power consumption, based on the field-proven and reliable Data Loggers, Acquisition and Transmission Units METEODATA / HYDRODATA Series.

Our Automatic Meteorological or Hydro-Meteorological Stations can be configured according to any requirement, in order to measure all meteorological and hydrological parameters, such as precipitation, air temperature, relative humidity, dew point, atmospheric pressure, wind speed and direction, solar radiation,  as well as river water level, river discharge (water flow), water velocity and currents. Due to the very low power consumption of GEONICA’s solutions, our automatic Hydro-Meteorological stations can be installed at remote unattended sites, as the stations operate only with an internal battery pack and a charger and an external solar panel with reduced dimensions. GEONICA offers a wide range of telemetry options for remote data collection and networking through GPRS/3G cellular Network; via Point-to-Point or Point-to-Multipoint Radio Link, as well as via Satellite (INMARSAT BGAN, INSAT, VSAT, IRIDIUM, etc.), allowing also mixed solutions and optional redundancy, in a way that guarantees the communications in critical projects, such as early flood and heavy rain alert and warning systems and networks.

Our advanced GEONICA SUITE Software Package installed at the Data Receiving Center (DRC) is ready to manage all the communications of a complex network with any number of remote measuring stations. It also allows full remote programming and data transmission, which ensures the generation of a SQL database for subsequent analysis and additional data processing.

With our WEBTRANS Ubiquitas Internet Platform (WEB Posting Application), the users can access via Internet all graphical and numerical information transmitted by the remote stations to the Server, and update it at programmable intervals from 1 to 60 minutes.
Additionally, it is always possible to interrogate directly the remote stations at any moment, as well as to request real-time data.
