GEO-94120 (LPWAN WIRELESS I/O MODULE)

Introduction

LPWAN is a low-power local area network technology created for machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) communications networks. The connection of the GEO-94210 series is better than traditional 2.4G Wi-Fi and is useful for eliminating network interference.

The GEO-94210 is battery powered and uses a wireless LPWAN (Low-power, wide-area networks) interface that has a communication range of one kilometre

The low sub-GHz power consumption makes it possible to power the sensor node with a battery. With one 3.6V AA lithium battery, the sensor node can maintain communication over a distance of 5 km for up to 5 years, with no need to recharge or replace batteries.

The star topology, also known as a star network, is the most common network configuration. In the star topology, each node is connected to a central network device.

Specifications:

  • LPWAN with sub-1 GHz wireless frequency
