Senseca Spain (GEONICA): A World of Applications

With the same experience and team, we operate as Senseca Spain, as part of Senseca.

Since 1974, GEONICA, now Senseca Spain, has been designing and manufacturing a wide range of professional technological solutions based on advanced units or remote data and image acquisition and transmission platforms. These are ultra-low-power dataloggers, which form the heart of our automatic meteorological and hydrological stations and environmental monitoring networks, and which are controlled by a fully proven, advanced equipment and communications management software/firmware package, as is the case with our internet platform WEBTRANS Ubiquitas (WEB Posting Solution).

Senseca Spain (GEONICA) provides complete measurement and monitoring solutions and networks, connected to a local SCADA or with real-time transmission to a server or central data reception station, via GPRS/3G/4G, radio link, Ethernet, fiber optics, etc., or via satellite with global coverage and two-way broadband communications, for a wide range of applications in the following sectors:

  • Meteorology, Hydrology and Agro-meteorology
  • Climatology & Climate change
  • Solar and Wind Energy Resource Assessment
  • Early Warning (EWS) and Civil protection (heavy rains/ flooding, lightning, radioactivity, earthquakes)
  • Oceanography (tides, waves, currents) and Coastal meteorology
  • Road Weather Information (RWIS), Traffic information, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
  • Lateral wind (roads or high speed railways)
  • Airport and Heliport Weather Observation (AWOS)
  • Environmental noise monitoring
  • Environmental air quality monitoring and Industry gas detection
  • Water quality monitoring
  • Solutions for Smart Cities (GEOcityQUAL)
