DATAMAR is a tide gauge with a RADAR sensor, designed by GEONICA with the latest electronic technology. It provides the ideal solution for measuring, recording, and transmitting sea-level data, because of its advanced technical features and performance, as well as its versatility and low cost.

The DATAMAR unit is a compact, autonomous system powered by internal rechargeable batteries that are charged by a solar panel or connection to the power grid. It includes all of the necessary elements to record data in its own internal memory, and also to transmit data, periodically or in real time to the Port Authority, or to one or more Reception Centres.

GEONICA also offers the WEBTRANS Ubiquitas Platform to present information via the Internet, making it accessible from any point with Internet connection.

The DATAMAR tide station is a fully programmable (both locally and remotely) unit that can sample the water level every second and that can also be connected to additional weather and environmental sensors to measure, for example, water temperature, wind speed and direction, atmospheric pressure, visibility, etc., and even wave and current measurement sensors installed inside or outside the port

In addition, the DATAMAR tide gauge is designed to connect one or more DIGICAM-3K colour cameras for the sequential capture and transmission of still images of the harbour area.
