GEONICA's Safe Tunnel System consists of a set of sensors to be installed inside the tunnels for real-time measurement of environmental conditions, as well as Meteorological Stations located at their entrance and exit.

The parameters of interest to be measured inside the tunnels are the following:

• Visibility
• Polluting gases
• Air flow
• Illuminance

At the entrance and exit of the tunnels, the automatic weather stations allow the measurement of the following parameters:

• Wind speed and direction
• Precipitation (intensity and type of precipitation)
• Visibility
• Illuminance at the tunnel entrance
• State of the pavement (dry, wet, ice, etc.)
• Temperature and relative humidity
• Solar radiation, etc.
