Comprehensive Meteorological System for CSP & CPV solar power plants.
GEONICA presents the SEMS-2000/3000 System, a comprehensive, turnkey solution, with high connectivity with SCADA units, for measuring solar Irradiance, the meteorology and other parameters of interest.
The METEODATA datalogger included with the system supports the connection of all the sensors necessary to carry out the following measurements in the plant:
- Global Horizontal Irradiamce GHI
- Direct Normal Irradiance DNI
- Diffuse Horizontal Irradiance DHI
- Albedo (depending on the type of plant)
- Spectral Solar Irradiance (Direct or Global)
- Aerosol Optical Depth AOD
- Water Vapour
- Spectral Correction Factors (SCF)
- Relative Humidity
- Wind Speed and Direction
- Atmospheric Pressure, etc.
- Color camera for capturing still images of some point or area of interest of the plant
For the automatic measurement of the Direct Normal Irradiance (DNI) and the Diffuse Horizontal Irradiance (DHI), the SEMS-2000/3000 System includes the SunTracker-2000 or alternatively the SunTracker-3000 model, depending on the case.
The Pyrheliometer to be used for the automatic measurement of DNI is mounted on the solar tracker, in order to maintain the perfect continuous pointing to the Sun, with an accuracy of up to 0.01º. For automatic DHI measurement, the Pyranometer is mounted in such a way that the shading disk of the tracker permanently casts its shadow on the sensor.
GEONICA solar trackers are equipment with a high pointing precision (up to 0.01º) and a very low power energy consumption, of between only 2 and 3 W, that is, a consumption of the order of 10 to 15 times less than other models available on the market. This represents a significant competitive advantage when designing the necessary power solution for its autonomous operation in remote locations without access to the network.
