The WINDPOWER system is an advanced wind measurement system that allows all the necessary information to be collected in situ, to be able to analyze the suitability of a site for the installation of a wind farm.
Wind data at various heights and other environmental parameters, all stored in the internal memory of the METEODATA datalogger, can be transferred to a computer via Ethernet connection, fiber optic or cable, via radio link, or preferably via 3G / GPRS, in case the site has mobile phone coverage.
It is also possible to transmit the data to the WEBTRANS Ubiquitas platform that GEONICA optionally offers as an advanced service to its subscribers (WEB Posting), consisting of the dissemination of all the information on the INTERNET, with the presentation of graphics and data in real time, related to their own measurement stations, being able to access them from anywhere in the world with access to the network.
In addition to the wind, the WINDPOWER system also makes it possible to measure critical parameters of the generating turbines themselves and transmit all the information and operating alarms to the control center, or send SMS messages to mobiles, when any of the parameters or measurements in the turbine have exceeded certain thresholds, previously programmed.
The METEODATA unit also allows remote programming from the client's computer to change its operating parameters, sampling and calculation periods, alarm thresholds, etc.
