Device that adds fibre-optic connectivity to the METEODATA/HYDRODATA remote station. Fibre optic communications allow transmission over longer distances than other forms of communication because the signals travel over the fibres with less loss and no crosstalk.

Depending on the characteristics of each project, the "multi-mode" model (up to 2 km range) or "single-mode" model (up to 60 km range) can be used, with ST or SC connectors.
